Before becoming the “SIPRHO”, this fair was known as the Salon des Plages. It was originally dedicated to owners of developed beaches and private beaches, which explains its initial name. In 2015, it was renamed SIPRHO: Salon des Plages, de la Restauration et de l’Hôtellerie, to better reflect the diversity of the sectors it now covers. Despite this change, some loyal exhibitors continue to call it the Salon des Plages, a name that has remained engraved in people’s heads. This name is also a nod to its original location, as the show was initially held in La Grande-Motte, by the beach, before moving to the Montpellier Exhibition Centre in 2022.
